As one Europe’s biggest airlines easyJet operates over 600 routes across 30 different countries. The brand was launched in 1995 by Cypriot businessman, Stelios Haji-Ionnou, originally operating just two routes within the UK. Since then, the company has grown quickly with 19 bases across Europe, its largest in Gatwick. easyJet uses a no frills model such as no connecting flights, or complimentary snacks to keep prices low. It has grown in popularity thanks to its city break destinations from the UK to the likes of Barcelona, Paris and Berlin, as well as longer haul flights to Sharm el Sheikh, Bodrum and Tel Aviv.
Baggage can be purchased for an additional cost.
