Because of the Turkish invasion in 1974, a great number of refugees left from Famagusta area to start a new life to Ayia Napa to developing the town into the most popular tourist centre in Cyprus until nowdays. 
Ayia Napa is like Ibiza and Hersonnisos in Crete, they are all popular for the craziest night life in Europe, don't say internationally! There is something for everyone as it offers over 80 clubs and bars! It can suit every budget and taste, plus, all the music lovers of the world are gathering here every summer to enjoy the biggest festivals and concerts from the latest House, Dupstep or RnB hits or even the famous EDM, right through to rock vibes or unique accoustic performances!
